Privacy policy

The short version

Sieve is an offline Mac application. It processes the bank transaction export files you choose on your Mac so you can organise and understand them. Sieve does not send that information to us.

Data collection

Sieve does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data. It has no user account, advertising, analytics, crash-reporting service, bank connection or network access.

Data stored on your Mac

Sieve stores its working document and recoverable backups locally in your Mac's Application Support folder. Documents and CSV files you explicitly export are stored at the location you choose. Source statement files remain in their original location and are not changed by Sieve.

Deleting Sieve does not automatically delete documents you exported. Local app data can be removed through Finder after quitting Sieve.

This website

This website does not use advertising, tracking pixels or analytics. If you contact us by email, your message and address are handled by our email provider so that we can reply.

Changes

If Sieve's data practices change, this policy and any relevant store privacy details will be updated before the changed version is released.
